Product Review Monday: ChefTools.com Review and GIVEAWAY!! **CLOSED**

After checking out ChefTools.com, you may never look anywhere else for your kitchen needs. Their site is incredible and they offer anything and everything you would need. Bakeware, cookware, barware, coffee & tea, BBQ, appliances and food are just some of the products you can buy on this site.

I was given two amazing products to review: Fat Daddio’s Mini 3-Tier Cake Pan (6 mold) and the Lucks Dec-Ons Elegant Butterfly Wings.

The Fat Daddio's Mini 3-Tier Cake Pan, 6-Mold is a really cool dishwasher safe aluminum pan that allows you to make mini-cakes. It has a lifetime warranty and is very reasonably priced at $24.49.  The cakes this pan produces would be great for every day baking (my kids had a blast decorating their mini cakes) or an elegant affair. This would be great to use at a bridal shower as a classy alternative to cupcakes.

The Lucks Dec-Ons Elegant Butterfly Wings, 84-Pack  allows you to add edible and beautiful toppers to your baked goods, without having to spend endless hours making them yourself. They come in two pieces, so they can be assembled to create a 3-dimensional effect on your cakes, cookies, cupcakes or other confections. They are certified Kosher, made in the USA, and can be stored for up to 5 years!!

Results: I made the mini-cakes for an Easter dinner at my mother's house. I decorated a set of floral cakes with butterflies for the women, some Easter themed ones for the children and men, and a special birthday cake for my cousin.

Review: I was very pleased with both products. I have so many ideas for the mini-cakes and I am sure that I will be using this pan again and again. I made two batches with the pan. The first one I overfilled, so you want to make sure to only fill 3/4 of each cavity. Filled correctly, the pan took less than 1 box of standard cake mix (I was able to make exactly 6 cupcakes with the remainder of the mix). The small dimensions of the cake made it tricky to ice. Although the cakes came out far from perfect because of the challenge of working on such a small surface (icing it was challenging as you can see in the pics), I was totally thrilled with the outcome. My family was absolutely in awe of these as they had never seen such a thing before! I also really liked that I could make each cake unique which really got my creative juices flowing.

I really loved the butterfly wings as well and I was able to easily achieve the 3-dimensional look by using a thin strip of buttercream in the center. They really made the cakes elegant. I will be using these again this summer when I create a butterfly and flower themed bridal shower cake for my friend.

I had a very positive experience with ChefTools.com and I am certain that I will be shopping from their site time and time again!
