And this is why I am an amateur...

I decided to have my kids make their grandmothers brownies for Mother's Day. I had a really neat silicone mold that would create flower shaped brownies. After I finally got the smoke detector to shut off, this was the disasterous result:

So, we tried again. This time, we made cupcakes. My kids actually made these with very little help from me. I am sure their grandmothers will be thrilled!
