Covergirl Blast Review and Coupon Offer

Celebrity makeup has always intrigued me. The stars always look so glamorous with your perfect pouts and smoky eyes. Covergirl has a new line of Blast products that can allow the everyday woman look like they have their own personal makeup artist!

This new line of lip gloss comes in 16 vibrant colors and retails for $7.49. The applicator, named ShineSculpt, is a new design that mirrors your lips' contours while helping to conserve the product by only attracting the gloss to the section that actually is applied to your lips.

Review: I really like this lip gloss. Not only is the color very flattering, but the gloss feels smooth on the lips rather than sticky. The shine that it produces is also perfect. There is not too much and not too little. The slight odor to the product is appealing as well.  As with most lip glosses, the color and shine do not last as long as one may prefer so it will need reapplied in between drinking and eating and after time lapses.

The ShadowBlast shadow stick comes in 6 color combination and retails for $7.99. Application is simple. The product is clearly labeled with the order of steps. For step one, you apply the rounded end to shade your lid. For step two, you line your crease and upper and lower lids with the tapered end.

Review: I was quite worried that I would look more like a heroine addict than a super model when I saw how dark the silver shadow was. The color was tame on my lids, though. In fact, I wish it would have went on a little darker! I liked the coordinating colors and this created a very nice combination. It was not as smoky as I thought it would be so I am able to wear it to work. The stick applied a smooth and even color. I do wish, however, that they put the names of the colors on the tubes. Neither the ShadowBlast or ShineBlast had them labeled which may make repurchasing the same color difficult.

Covergirl's website is great as well. I have very pale skin, but dark hair and am often challenged by trying to find colors that flatter this combination. They offer a application, Get Colormatched, that provides you with recommendations based on your personal features.
