I had the pleasure of reviewing Eco-Kids gluten-free fingerpaints last month, and EcoMom and I had such a great experience working together we decided to do it again! This time, I was given the chance to review products that would make great Father's Day gifts: Pacific Shaving Company's All Natural Shaving Oil and Nick Stick.
The Pacific Shaving Company All-Natural Shaving Oil is made from essential oils and is perfect for both men and women (yippee) and is safe for those with sensitive skin (double yippee). An alternative to shaving cream, the oil promotes a smooth shave and reduces nicks and razor burn. Plus, the oils help to moisturize the skin. The best part: no clean up!!
Review: My husband was pretty apprehensive about using this product. He does not like to change routines and was convinced that it would produce a razor burn. He reluctantly tried it and there was no razor burn! I thought his skin felt much smoother than normal, but he said he would rather stick with the old fashion shaving cream stating that he likes to shave the cream off because this way he knows that he did not miss any spots. Since I could not stand the thought of the oil going to waste, I decided to see if it would work well on my legs. And it did! My legs felt so much more moisturized than normal and the shave was great. I have sensitive skin and was happy that I had no reaction at all to this oil.
Like it or not, nicks still happen. So, when they do the Pacific Shaving Company Nick Stick is there to quickly stop the bleeding. It dries clear and leaves no chalky residue. It is a roll-on application and has a self-sterilizing applicator. Plus, the vitamin A, E, and aloe promote healing and moisturizing the skin!
Review: Hubby did not nick himself the entire two months we had this product (he does not shave that often). I, however, had a small nick from shaving my legs. I really liked this Nick Stick. I bleed so easily and the bleeding tends to last forever. I liked how easily this rolled on and the bleeding stopped in a fraction of the time it would have taken if I was using little wads of toilet paper. Plus, I really liked the moisturizing effect and it seemed to prevent an unsightly larger-than-life scab from forming.
Overall, I really liked these products. I would definitely say that it is worth getting these for your hubby or father for father's day because if they don't like them, you probably will!
