I Love Dogs Week: Puppy Cake Review

What better way to kick off "I Love Dogs Week" on Cake Mom than by reviewing cake mixes made especially for dogs! Puppy Cake seeks to provide a healthy and satisfying treat for your dogs while creating a fun experience for you! They use only human grade and natural ingredients products because they believe that Puppy Cake is held to a higher standard.

Puppy Cake comes in two flavors: Fifi's Favorite Cake and Frosting Mix and Buddy's Best Banana Cake and Frosting Mix.  The cakes retail for $6.99 a box and each box makes 6 cupcakes. I used mini cake pans instead and was able to make three of these with one box of cake mix. For extra fun, they also sell bone shaped pans!

To make the cakes, you simply add an egg, vegetable oil, and water. The cakes bake for 18-22 minutes. The frosting mix only takes minutes to make. For fun, we topped ours off with a Milk Bone!

As you can see, Hoss and Butch loved their Puppy Cake. My daughter had a great time making these and found it very exciting to prepare a cake for our beloved dogs.

If you love to bake and like to spoil your dogs, then Puppy Cake is a no-brainer. It is a fun activity and the dogs really enjoyed eating the baked treats.

I was provided with a box of each of the two Puppy Cake mixes for the purpose of facilitating this review. No other compensation was received and the views expressed here are my own (and my dog's).
