Travel Must Have: Baby Blanket Suncare

One of the first things on my to-pack list is sunscreen. My daughter and I are very fair skinned and my son is a red-head. Need I say more? Baby Blanket is a trusted brand in suncare. They produce products for babies, children, and adults who are sensitive to sun burn. That would be our family! Not only are we fair skinned, but we are sensitive skinned. This is why Baby Blanket products are so appealing to us. They are hypoallergenic, non-irritating, non-stinging, and water proof. Plus, there is a wide range of UV protection options to suite everyone's needs in the family.

I was given this amazing sample kit to try!
I realized after receiving this products, that Baby Blanket offers much more than just your standard sunscreen.
All products reviewed functioned as intended. My children are constantly exposed to the sun and they did not burn when using any of the below stated products!

Baby Suncare Products
Here are the products and my thoughts:

Sun Smart Survival Kit: This kit is really great. It contains 45+ SPF  Sunscreen Spray, Faces Sunblock, SunBlankie Towelette,  and Tender Scalps. I immediately took the contents, which were travel-size, and threw them in my purse. I especially liked the Sunscreen Spray. My kids like to apply their own sunblock these days and the spray was perfect for distributing the sunscreen on their exposed areas and was thin enough that they could easily rub it in.  The towelette is a convenient way to apply sunscreen and I like the idea of using these while traveling as there is no chance that you will accidentally spill sunscreen all over your bag, car, etc. I also liked the Faces product which is hypoallergenic.

The 45+ SPF Sunblock Stick is another convenient way to carry sunblock. This was not, however, my favorite of the products. I found that it can be used easily on small areas (like the nose), but just takes too long to apply all over the body. This would probably work well for babies, but I have very tall school-aged children and they could not tolerate trying to apply sunblock in this fashion.
The old classic 50+ SPF Sunblock worked great. I am so used to applying sunblock in this fashion. I found the thickness to be perfect (not too greasy, not too thick). This brand and type has been  used in my household for years!
Baby Suncare Minerals: Baby Blanket Minerals was specially formulated for babies and adults with sensitive skin. The sunscreens contain titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, which are doctor and dermatologist recommended  ingredients that provide Broad Spectrum UVA and UVB protection. Since my daughter has sensitive skin, and is especially sensitive to certain sunblocks, I was very eager to try these products and was thrilled that she had no reaction! I was able to review the Minerals Jar SPF 80+ sunscreen which applied smoothly and worked very well and Baby Blanket Minerals Lip Balm. It is so easy to forget that lips need sun protection and this product worked well and help moisturize the lips at the same time!

BugBand: I was also given two BugBand products to try. I had not heard to these before, but I am a fan of anything that will keep bugs away from me! The insect repelling BugBand is simply placed on your wrist, chair, bag, stroller, etc and releases a vapor that provides a protective shield around the immediate area. It comes in a variety of colors and can be reused. BugBand Towelettes can fit right in your purse and provide an easy way to apply insect repellent right to the skin.  I really liked both of these products and I thought that they worked great. I used the band on a chair during Memorial Day while we were watching fireworks and I had no bugs near me. I like the towelette because of how easy it is to take along with you. I can simply throw a few in my bag rather than having to cart around a big bottle of repellent.
