We were lucky enough to choose two kits to review and my kids were thrilled.
Bella is very creative and into story-telling, so she was very excited to have the opportunity to review the Pop-Up Book Set. The kit comes with two pop-up books (one large and one small), 31 die cut pieces in various shapes, 2 sticker sheets, 8 markers, and 2 pairs of googly eyes.
She took her "assignment" very serious. She spent time thinking about what the story should be, finding coordinating stickers, and illustrating her book. The result was her very first book, "The Monkey and the Friends Love Each Other". The book is absolutely adorable and something I know I will keep forever and ever. She is also very proud of it and insisted on calling her grandparents to tell them about her book once she was done. The stickers that were included really helped spark some creativity and helped lead the direction of her story. This really is a fabulous kit and well worth the $19.98 price tag. It also makes a great keepsake and I know she will get a kick out of this when she sees it as an adult! 
Jack chose to review the Clean Water Science Kit. From the moment he saw the kit online, he could not wait to get it in the mail. Later the same day he saw the kit online, he told me, "I think I am going to be really good at science in school". It was so nice to hear him say something other than "I love video games!" The kit comes with everything (except for the water and dirt) you will need to build your own water filtration system to allow your child to see how filthy water can be cleaned and reused.
Jack and my husband spent some quality father-son time (and as you can see, the dog joined in) together on this one. Jack had a blast putting all the pieces together, going outside to collect dirt to make muddy water, and then seeing his "invention" (as he called it) clean water right before his eyes. It was so great to see the excitement on his face when he repeated the experiment for me later. This kit was fantastic and anything that gets my son excited about a school subject gets an A+ in my book!
