It is true that it is the age of electronics; however, not everyone prefers to organize their life in an electronic fashion. Although I love my computer, I do admit that I still rely on Post-It notes for reminders at work and organize all of my blog information on paper. The Bubbler Planner was created for individuals who still like to organize on paper, but learn, organize, and retain information better when given the option of visual cues.
Within Bubble Planners are numerous organizational tools laid out like sticky notes from your desktop rather than a filing cabinet (like traditional planners). This is a great system if you are one of those people who fall back on, "Out of sight, out of mind". A recent study concluded that up to 60% of people respond better to visual cues, and these individuals may find that traditional organizers and lists fail to help them truly organize. I was given the opportunity to review the Big Bubble. I liked the concept of the Big Bubble because it comes in a standard three ring binder which means I can easily add papers and/or remove ones that I am not currently using. The Bubble Planners are divided into sections to assist with goal setting, project management, task management, calendar maintenance, habit development, reflection, and follow up.
I really like the planner I received. I have been using it to organize my blog and it has been very helpful. For those of you reading who actually have a product review blog, you know how important organization is to the success of your site. I have been able to use various sections to keep track of upcoming events, companies I have pitched, winners, etc. I am a visual learner, so I have found some of the tools to be very useful (and I am pleased to remove an excessive amount of sticky notes from my desk and have all of my thoughts in one place!) The only complaint that I had was the organization of the weekly calendar. Rather than having the days of the week move from left to right, they are organized going up and down. This is counter-intuitive for me, and since they are undated I was adding my own dates and was frequently putting the wrong ones in because of the way it was set up. Although it is difficult to see in the picture below, this is the structure of the weekly calendar.
Overall, I am extremely pleased with the product and find the $25.99 to be reasonable. If you are looking for smaller versions of this product or were looking for something a bit different, then I would recommend checking out their full product line and I am sure you will find a product that suits your organizational style. They also sell project planning software.
