SKOY Review and GIVEAWAY!! **ENDED**

So, how many paper towels do you go through in a week? I have been trying to "go green" over the past year and the paper towels are one of the few environmentally harmful products I have resisted getting rid of. I have just found them to be so convenient and have yet to find an alternative. So, when I heard about SKOY cloths, I knew I had to give them a try.

What is a SKOY cloth? It is a 100% biodegradable, absorbent, reusable multi-use cloth. They can be used in place of sponges, wash clothes, and yes, paper towels. Each SKOY cloth can be used for months and research has shown that they can compost within 5 weeks. Each SKOY cloth is the equivalent of 15 rolls of paper towels! This means you can save the environment and your money!The SKOY cloth is washer/dryer safe and can also be cleaned in your dishwasher. You can also keep your cloth germ-free my microwaving it wet for 1-2 minutes.

When dry, the SKOY cloths are very stiff, as you can see in the picture below. When moistened in water, they turn into a damp cloth.

I was given a set of SKOY cloths to try and decided to use them in the same ways I would use my beloved paper towels to see how they measure up.

Here is what I found:
Cleaning kitchen surfaces: The SKOY cloth worked perfectly for this. With just a small amount of cleaner, I was able to wipe down my entire countertop before needing to wring it out.
On windows: Using a wet rag on a window just does not work. It left my window streaky.
As a washcloth: This was a great use for the SKOY cloth. It was soft enough to be used on my children's hands, in fact, it was softer than a washcloth which can leave skin slightly irritated if you scrub too hard.
To clean up spills: The SKOY cloth worked very well for this. I found it to be very absorbent and I was able to quickly soak up the spill and then easily wring it out in the sink. It worked better than a paper towel because 1 SKOY cloth cleaned the entire mess. It would have easily taken 3-4 paper towels to do the same job.

Will I stop using paper towels and use SKOY from here on out? Answer =Yes and no. Unfortunately, since it did not work on the windows. However, I will be using far less paper towels since I can use the SKOY for the other uses listed above.
