Tortuga Rum Cake GIVEAWAY!! **ENDED**

Tortuga Rum Cakes, LTD. is a family owned business that offers not only an assortment of cakes, but also a wide range of Caribbean sauces, flavored coffee, chocolate treats, gifts and collectibles, and as well as Tortuga Rum.  Best known for their rum cakes, they offer them in three different sizes and nine flavors!

I was given the opportunity to review a few flavors of the mini Tortuga cakes recently and this Thanksgiving I was  lucky enough to have the chance to decorate one. Check it out!

I used the Tortuga Rum Cake for the feathers, half of a ball cake for the body, and a cupcake for the turkey head. The beak is candy corn and the wattle is made from a Fruit Roll Up.

Here is a portion of the Tortuga Rum Cake I used for the feathers:

My daughter even got in on the turkey cake action and took the remainder of the Rum Cake and some cupcakes and created her own cake. Not too shabby for a 5 year old!
