Columbia Sportswear Company Review

Columbia Sportswear Company began in 1938 and has been selling high-quality performance products ever since.  Their products are designed to keep you safe from the sun and other elements while allowing you to enjoy the Great Outdoors without worrying about your clothing getting in the way.

Columbia Sportswear sells products for men, women and children and they offer a wide range of products and styles.  I was very excited when I was given the opportunity to review their products. I don't spend a lot of time outdoors in the winter, but what I am challenged with is travel. I live in very snowy and cold Pennsylvania and I frequently travel during the winter and end up in a hot area of the country. Trying to dress for travel can be a nightmare. I want clothes that are comfortable for travel and are appropriate for either 20 degree or 70 degree weather. This is why I decided I wanted to see if their tunics could solve this dilemma.

The first tunic I reviewed was the Women's Towering Tour Tunic.  It comes in five colors, is available in sizes XS-XL, and retails for $54.  The tunic is made of cotton, is button up, and has roll-up sleeves so you can wear it as long or short sleeved. A tied wasteband makes the tunic feminine. The tunic can be layered depending on the weather. The fabric is fairly light, but the shirt is warm enough that it can truly be worn for any season. I thought the fit was great and the tunic was very comfortable overall. This is exactly the type of shirt that will make traveling a lot easier!

The second tunic I received was the Pucker Up Hoodie Tunic. It comes in three colors, is available in sizes S-XL, and retailed originally for $54 but is now available for $36.90.  The crinkle tunic is light weight and great for a cool spring or fall day. The crinkle texture is neat and requires no ironing (which means it is great for travel). The sleeves have a bell design. I usually have difficulty with tighter fit sleeves on my upper arm, but with this shirt I found that the lower arm tightness was too much. It was actually uncomfortable to have it so tight and I wished the sleeves were just a little looser. The flowing design, hoodie, and the belt made the look feminine. I also really loved the light green color to the shirt.
