Entertain Like a Gentleman is a soft cover cookbook for men created by David Harap.  The book is more than a traditional recipe book, it is also how-to host an event correctly manual! The book is organized by event and includes recipes and hosting ideas for each. The chapters are as follows:

I absolutely loved the categories! These are truly events that men attend/host. I was considering leaving the breakfast in bed chapter open on my kitchen table but my husband is not so good at not-so-subtle hints. There is a section after each recipe to keep culinary notes. The recipes listed were definitely targeted for men. The how-to sections were great as well and I even learned a lot!  The foods would definitely impress guests.  The book would be great for someone who enjoys cooking. I am not one of those people and I also found that to try any of the recipes, I would have to make a trip to the grocery store because several of the ingredients in each recipe are not ones we typically keep stocked in our house. That being said, we are a house of convenience cooking and a household with someone who likes to cook may find they have a lot of these ingredients already. Final verdict: if you (or your man) likes to cook and/or entertain, I would definitely recommend this book!
