Granola Gourmet are healthy energy bars created for everyone. They are 100% natural, made in the USA, and are incredibly healthy. They contain ingredients that are low on the glycemic index and contain no refined sugars so these are great for diabetics. They also contain 10-12g of whole grain, contain no wheat or dairy, and are high in Omega 3's.
I was lucky to have the opportunity to review their line of classic granola bars last year and I was excited when they contacted me to review their recently released line of Ultimate individually wrapped bars! I loved the classic line, but had to eat them at home rather than on the go because of the way they were packaged. The individually wrapped bars are perfect to keep in my purse and come in four flavors: Ultimate Berry, Ultimate Cran-Orange, Ultimate Mocha Fudge, and Ultimate Fudge Brownie.

I really love granola and loved the last versions of Granola Gourmet so I was excited to try these. The Ultimate Berry and Ultimate Mocha Fudge were my favorites. One of my favorites of the classic Granola Gourmet line was the Spiced Orange Cranberry, so I was surprised when I tasted the Ultimate Cran-Orange and did not like it. It was very sour and left a bitter aftertaste. I am not sure if the ingredients are that different (the orange seemed very pronounced in the Ultimate bar) or if my taste buds just weren't feeling it when I tried it this time around. If you are an orange lover, you would probably love it, however. The Ultimate bars were just sweet enough to satisfy a sweet tooth, yet obviously a much better option than a candy bar! I also felt that the 1.25 oz bars were enough to hold me over in between meals if I would get hungry.
