GoPicnic Review and GIVEAWAY!! **ENDED**

GoPicnic, the leader in great-tasting ready-to-eat meal solutions, recently launched  the energy boost care package this is pre-packaged, requires no refrigeration or preparation, and is gluten-free.  All GoPicnic products contain no trans fats, high fructose corn syrup or added MSG, and no artificial colors or flavors.  Consumers can enjoy foods from high-quality big and specialty manufacturers while also feeling good about eating nutritious, better-for-you foods from brands they recognize and trust when they snack.

I had the opportunity to review  the Energy Boost Care Package. I instantly thought about how great a package like this would be for a camping trip, a long car trip, or even a care package for students away at college! Since all of the foods are also promoted as "energy boosters" this would also make a great package for someone suffering from seasonal colds/flus, recovering from surgery, etc.

There was a lot of food in this package, making the $24.99 price tag worth it. Here is a review of the food:

PopChips (Barbecue Potato) – These were really delicious.   They are baked and a little thicker than typical chips.  The barbecue flavoring was mild, but very enjoyable. I loved that they are not greasy and they are not messy to eat. The company claims “Nothing fake or phony. No face colors, no fake flavors, no fluorescent orange fingertips, no wiping your greasy chip hands on your jeans”.  Popchips did live up to the promise!

Marablu Naturals Blueberry Pomegranate Trail Mix Crunch:   I had higher expectations for this snack. It smelled very flavorful, but I would have preferred to taste more fruit than nuts. This is just a personal preference and nut-lovers may find this to be the perfect blend.  It is high in protein which would make this a great snack for someone who needs some energy.  There was, however, a lot of fat (due to the nuts).

Steak Nuggets & Cheese:  I really enjoyed this and it reminded me of a finger food at a party. This alone was a great, satisfying and filling snack.  The pack is made by GoPicnic and includes:
  • Jack Link's Premium Cuts Original Beef Steak Nuggets
  • Crunchmaster Multi-Seed Crackers
  • Copper Cowbell Parmesan Peppercorn Gourmet Cheese Spread
  • Sweet Perry Orchards Ginger Zip Fruit & Nut Mix
  • Brown & Haley Almond Roca Buttercrunch Toffee Candy

Sharkies: These are labeled as organic energy sports chews. I actually really love eating fruit snacks, so I was looking forward to trying these. They were really cute and shaped like little sharks. They were also really tasty and satisfy a sweet tooth. I am not entirely sure why they are considered to be “energy chews” but they are USDA organic and tasty and that is good enough for me!

Zesty Snack Mix: It was not very zesty as I expected. It is probably not a snack I would eat alone, but I imagine it would taste really good with some soup. I put the bag away and plan on using it for this purpose really soon.

Crunchmaster Multi-Seed Crackers are super crunchy oven baked crackers. They are gluten free and made with 100% whole grain. They definitely tasted healthy and were really just not for me. I ate them with the Wild Garden Traditional Hummus Dip. I had never had hummus before and was pleasantly surprised by the flavor. The crackers had such an overwhelming taste, that I tried it with some milder crackers and enjoyed the snack! I also put them out for my coworkers to munch on and heard a couple of people say that LOVED the flavor and enjoyed the crunch.
