MenuForTheWeek.com Review and GIVEAWAY!! **ENDED**

Planning meals for the family can be stressful. You have to try to find foods that everyone will enjoy and make sure you have all the ingredients. This means some serious planning! MenuForTheWeek.com is an online membership site that does all the hard work for you. Each week, you will receive notification that the weekly menu is ready.

The weekly menu consists of daily meals to include dinners as well as occasional breakfast and dessert recipes. There is a recipe for each meal, many of which have a picture. At the end of the week-long menu is a printable grocery list. They make it so easy for us busy moms!  In addition, most of the meals are prepared in 30 minutes or less.

With the membership, you will (from the company):

  • Serve nutritious dinners to a family of four for only $12 (on average).
  • Save on your grocery bill each week with a defined shopping list.
  • Save gas, time and money with just one weekly trip to the grocery store.
  • Save on eating out since we eliminate all the guesswork of what to have for dinner.
  • Prepare a delicious family meal in 30 minutes or less.
  • Have your kitchen stocked with easy, healthy meal choices.
  • Have more time since all meal planning is done for you.
  • Be more relaxed without the 5pm dinnertime panic.

I was given a 6 month membership to try out and have had the pleasure of receiving the menus for the past couple of weeks. Unfortunately, I am not much of a cook (baking is my thing) and hubby has been super busy lately so we have not had the opportunity to really try a lot of the recipes.  I have, however, been printing off recipes to file for later use so this membership will definitely not go to waste.

I did have the opportunity to try two recipes so far: Oatmeal Raisin Breakfast Bars and Surprise in a Biscuit. The Surprise in a Biscuit was an instant hit in my house. It was incredibly easy to make and I was thrilled to actually have all the ingredients in my kitchen. These sweet apple biscuits tasted like mini apple pies and my daughter has been asking me to make more every day since I first made them.

Although I will likely not be able to follow the daily meal plan, I have resolved to try at least one new recipe a week (Sunday is my turn to cook dinner). I really think this a great site for those who like to cook and try new recipes.  The time saved in trying to search for new recipes and then trying to make a grocery list make the membership well worth it.

Buy it here: Six month memberships can be purchased to MenufortheWeek.com for $30 and year memberships for $48.

Win it here: One lucky Cake Mom reader is going to win a 6 month membership to MenufortheWeek.com !! ($30 value)

I don't try new recipes nearly as often as I should. Maybe a few times a year? It's one of the biggest problems, since we end up eating out way too much, which is pricey. If I had a meal plan set out for me I think it would help a lot, which is why I'd like to win.

Thanks! em_swanson at yahoo dot com
