I have read many Chicken Soup for the Soul books over the years and have always felt a bit more inspired and grateful for my life after reading them. The books are full of short stories, inspirational quotes, and comical cartoons with the common themes.  This month, I was given two books: My Cat's Life and My Dog's Life.

I owned cats while I was growing up and have two dogs now, so books were of interest to me.  Each contains 101 stories about "all ages and stages" of your favorite furry friends. The stories are about owner's love of their animals, even when they come home to found their house a wreck. Of course, there are stories that will bring a tear (or two) to your eye about losing pets or finding unexpected strength and support in these magnificent animals.

Whether you are a current pet owner, grieving the loss of your beloved pet, or considering buying a dog or cat, you will likely find enjoyment in either of these books.
