One of my favorite types of products to review are those created to provide pain relief. As someone who suffers from chronic back and hip pain, I am always open to products that can help me go about my busy life without allowing my pain to slow me down. BENGAY is getting ready to release a brand new pain relief product and I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to be one of the first bloggers to get my hands on it!
So, how does it work? BENGAY Cold Therapy delivers a blast of cold as the menthol and alcohol in the unique formula evaporates, providing a cooling sensation and allowing you to give pain the cold shoulder! It uses PRO-COOL technology which is the same technique used by chiropractors and physical therapists. Since most people don’t like to go around smelling like they took a menthol bath, the product has an appealing vanishing scent feature that begins working within minutes of application.
Review: The product works well and has a similar effect to using an ice pack on aches and pains. The numbing worked almost immediately and the pain relief lasted quite awhile. the scent is quite strong (it did my sinuses well) and it did vanish as promised, though took a little longer than a couple of minutes. The gel was a light blue color and absorbed quickly into the skin, leaving no stickiness at all. I have sensitive skin but had no problems with skin irritation. Overall, this is a nice product to try for minor-moderate aches and pains.
