My kids are picky eaters, particularly in the morning. There is nothing like starting the day with a mini temper-tantrum because my husband and I don't feel like cooking the kids what they want to eat. As a result, I am always looking for quick and easy breakfast food that my kids will actually enjoy.Van's Natural Foods is a real bonus for us. Not only does their food taste good, but their foods are natural and healthier than many other frozen breakfast foods we are used to eating. Most well known for their waffles, they offer a wide variety to satisfy many dietary needs (wheat/gluten free along with organic, mini and 8 Whole Grain varieties).
Review: Van's introduced Muffin Crowns, in Triple Chocolate and Wild Blueberry, and Waffle Sticks, in chocolate and vanilla, earlier this year.
The Muffin Crowns are made with at least 7 grams of whole grains and pack 6 grams of fiber and 3 grams of protein per serving, in only 120 calories or less. They’re individually packaged and can be eaten oven toasted or simply thawed, so they’re great as a quick, portable breakfast or snack. I am a huge fan of berry muffins and was a fan of the Wild Blueberry Muffin Crowns. They were best slightly toasted and very quite flavorful. In fact, I did not find the need to add any butter and savored them just as they are. My daughter liked them with some butter on top.

Van’s new Waffle Sticks have only 70 calories per serving and the vanilla are made with whole grains. I loved the compact size of them. Both of my kids had fun with these. I gave them a small dish of syrup and they found them delicious and satisfying. I am not a big fan of syrup, so I enjoyed them with just some butter and a side of yogurt.
I received an extra coupon so I was also able to try the Wheat and Gluten Free Blueberry Waffles. I would say that these had a bit more of a grown-up taste, but I absolutely loved them. They were made with whole grains and sweetened with fruit juice. These were some of the best frozen waffles I have tasted and they have already made it on my next grocery list!
