Halo Sleepsack Wearable Blanket Review and GIVEAWAY!!

I remember when I had my baby shower that I received tons of baby blankets and then I read about the higher risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) associated with blanket use. Determined to lower my child's risk of SIDS as much as possible, I purchased some wearable blankets. The Halo SleepSack Wearable Blanket was created by a SIDS dad who has dedicated his life to helping parents create a safe sleep environment for their babies.

How does it keep your child safe? One of the key elements of safe sleep is to put the baby on his/her back in an empty crib free from blankets, stuffed animals, and crib bumpers. The SleepSack helps keep the child warm and their body temperature constant, like a blanket, but without the danger of covering your precious baby's face.  The SleepSack is designed to be roomy enough that your baby can freely kick. It zips from the bottom to top making it easy to change a diaper and the armholes are designed to be small enough to prevent the baby from pulling their arms out.

Review: I received a Disney Princess SleepSack to review. Obviously, my children are too big to try it out; however, when my kids were babies I tried lots of different wearable blankets and Halo was, by far, the best of the best.  Unlike other wearable blankets, the Halo versions would not creep up on my children. Other brands would creep up so much that they would start sucking on the material. Since the point of the wearable blanket is to keep the material out of their face, having one that creeps up completely defeats the whole point. These were also the only blankets that did not shrink or show wear after wash.   They may be slightly more costly than other brands, but the quality far surpasses that of competitor's products. 

The Disney Princess SleepSack is so adorable. The fleece material is amazingly soft and the SleepSack is decorated with precious embroidery and sweet fabric that makes the blanket look like a princess dress.  The zipper works without fail as well. This is the cutest version of the SleepSack I have seen and I wish I would have had one for my princess when she was a baby! Did I mention that it comes with an adorable matching hat. Too cute!!
