Petco Halloween Dog Products Review

As you prepare your home, your kids, and yourself for Halloween fun this year don't forget about  your pets! 17 million pet owners across the US dress up their pets for Halloween. Pumpkins are the most popular pet costume but Petco is encouraging pet owners to "think outside the pumpkin" and consider some other creative costumes. Additionally, they sell a nice assortment of Halloween themed pet toys.

I had the opportunity to review some fun products from Petco and Butch and Buttercup were more than happy to help out!

Petco Halloween Wag-a-tude Striped Skull Dog Sweater - Made from a soft acrylic material, the sweater easily stretches to fit on your pup. It features black and white stripes and skull accent. It is really cute and the material is similar to a comfy sweater. Butch looked adorable in it! The Petco website is really great because it helps you decide the best size for you dog based on the breed. Retail price - $14.99-$19.99 depending on size (plus they are on sale for even less right now)!

Petco Halloween Rubber Skull Dog Treat Holder -The treat holder is meant to stimulate your dog. It is a chew toy that also bounces and rolls and keeps the determined dog happy while trying to get the treat. It is super cute and I liked the large size and bright color. The toy, however, did break apart into smaller pieces after my dogs chewed on it for a couple days. I was quite worried that they would swallow a small piece of the rubber and ended up having to take it away. It retails for $7.99.

Petco Halloween Owl Plush Dog Toy - This stuffed toy with a hidden squeaker has become Buttercup's favorite toy. It is decorated like an owl with an enlarged head. My dog loves to play tug with it (which is not only frustrating because she has lock jaw but disgusting because she drools like crazy). She insists on having it with her all the time so I guess this gets her seal of approval! It is on sale right now for $5.94 and comes in a few other cute varieties.
