I was given the opportunity to review several products that are perfect for me and my children this winter.
Aveeno Active Naturals Daily Moisturizing Lotion: Dry skin can almost be expected in the winter time. This product has been clinically proven to relieve dry skin and continues to moisturize for over 24 hours after use. It is fragrance free and contains oatmeal.
My thoughts: I have horrible eczema which is almost intolerable in the winter. After getting out of the shower I used this lotion and not only did my skin feel softer, but the oatmeal helped soothe the itch and pain that eczema causes me. Since it is fragrance free, it did not bother my allergies either.
Band-aid Brand by Cynthia Rowley Adhesive Bandages: Why should kids have all the fun with colorful and playful band-aids? These fashionable bandages come in over 7 designs! They retail for $2.75 for a 20 count box and are available at Target stores nationwide.
My thoughts: I LOVE these Band-Aids! I will admit that I have gone to work sporting princess bandages before and have been quite embarrassed. There is no need to be humiliated when wearing these...they are totally adorable! Just like other Band-aid brand bandages, they stick well and they allow you to movement in your injured area so you can go about your way...just with a little more style!
Johnson's Baby Lotion: This lotion can help prevent moisture loss from baby's natural skin barrier. The lotion can also be used on adults to help you achieve that smooth skin you so admire on babies. The ever-popular lotion retails for $2.99 and is available at food, drug, and mass merchants nation-wide.
My thoughts: When my children were babies, this was the only lotion I would use on them. The mild formula was gentle on their skin. The scent of the product is what I smell on so many babies that makes people say how much they love the smell of newborns. I used this product after getting out of the shower and was amazed at how well it moisturized my extremely dry skin. My body felt silky smooth afterward and the smell gave me fond memories of bathing my children when they were babies. I typically do not use a lot of lotions because I have reactions, but there were no issues with this fabulous product.
Listerine Antiseptic: This product is clinically proven to kill germs, help prevent and reduce plaque and gingivitis germs and fight bad breath. It retails for $5.99 for a 1 liter bottle and is available at food, drug, and mass merchants nation-wide.
My thoughts: Intense? Yes. Effective? Yes! Although the formula can bring tears to your eyes because of how powerful it is, there is no other mouthwash that I have tried that leaves your mouth feeling so clean and fresh. The effect lasts a long time and is a part of my daily routine.
Neutrogena Hand Cream, Norwegian Formula: This glycerin rich formula heals seriously dry and chapped hands for effecting relief that can last for up to 17 hours. It costs only $3.99 for a 2 oz tube and is available at nationwide food, drug, and mass merchants.
My thoughts: My husband is a mechanic and his hands are really rough. I used this product and his hands were instantaneously smoother. I loved the effect of the cream on my hands. They were so smooth and my skin really felt moisturized deep down. The smoothness was such that I could not stop rubbing my hands together because it felt so good! Plus, the price is great.
Splenda Essentials: This is a new product that not only reduces calories from sugar and also provides you will added essential nutrients you need every day. Varieties are available with fiber, antioxidants or B Vitamins. They retail for $4.29 for an 80-count box and can be purchased from grocery stores and online at www.Splenda.com
My thoughts: My husband uses sugar substitutes in his coffee and he was pleased with the taste. Despite my urging, he does not take daily vitamins so I am thrilled with any product that will provide them to him and still please his taste buds.
