It seems like I read a story on vitamins every other week and the advice always changes. "Make sure you take plenty of this to prevent cancer." "Don't take too much of that or it will cause cancer". Ugh! When I was offered a chance to review Nutrition Possible and complete an online assessment which would provide me with vitamin/supplement advice based on my own needs, I was thrilled.
What does the assessment entail? You enter in some basic information like gender and age and then choose two health areas that are of interest to you. I chose energy/metabolism as my first choice since I am always tired and digestion as my second since my stomach issues can dictate my life at times. You then answer some questions about your diet and lifestyle. The entire assessment took me about 7 minutes to complete and I was given the following suggestions for vitamins:
Omega - 3
In addition to the vitamin and supplement suggestions, I was also give recommendations for nutrition and physical activity. When I was done, I was also given a $10 coupon for Pronutrients with a Centrum Multivitamin purchase.
I was very happy with the assessment. I finally have an idea of what direction I should go in with supplements. I was also given some samples of Omega-3 and Probiotics to try and I was feeling really lucky that these were the supplements given to me before I even took the assessment!
