Alli's Everlasting Floral Arrangements Review

Alli's Everlasting Floral Arrangements was started in memory of Renne Heyden's beloved 24 year-old daughter, Allison Emilie Heydon, who tragically passed away in the summer of 2011.  Alli was an up and comping fashion designer living in NYC.  The purpose of the project is to not only memorialize and commemorate Alli's life by donating a percentage to the Alli Heyden Passion for Fashion Scholarship fund at the Savannah College of Art and Design. The flowers are made with the same fabrics Allie used for her designs.

Review: The story behind this company is truly touching. I can't imagine the pain of losing a child and I really give Alli's mom a lot of credit for making something so good and beautiful out of tragedy. The flower and arrangement itself was quite beautiful but there was a slight problem with the way it arrived. There was a layer of glue, I am assuming placed to hold in the rocks, but it broke and stuck in clumps to the decorative mesh around the stem. The only way I could get it off was to cut it which slightly damaged the fabric around the stem.

Aside from this issue, the piece was very pretty. I loved the contrast between the delicate fabric petals and the crystals in the center. It certainly makes for an interesting piece and looks beautiful in a variety of settings.  The price is a bit steep; however, you must consider that a portion goes into a scholarship fund and it is completely handmade.  It could make a nice gift for someone considering you may pay the same for a real floral arrangement and this one will last forever.

The jeweled center was my favorite part!
