I will be the first person to admit that I have WAY too much sugar in my diet. After all, my hobby is baking! Both my husband and I are interested in lowering our sugar intake but finding a tasty sugar substitute can be challenging. Sweet 'N Low is the number one sugar substitute in the world. Sweetened with saccharin, the substitute can be used in more than just your morning coffee. There are tons of delicious looking recipes available that can help you transform your diet into low-sugar or even sugar-free.
Review: I was given a box of Sweet 'N Low and a fabulous pink apron to review. I have been trying to eat grapefruit because it is so healthy for you but I have a bit of a difficult time with its sour taste. There was no way I was going to add straight sugar to it which would cancel out any health benefits the fruit would give me, so I decided to give the Sweet 'N Low a try. My husband has been using it for years in his coffee and I could quickly see why. It is quite tasty and is just as, if not even more, sweet than regular sugar. It sweetened my grapefruit perfectly and this has become one of my favorite morning treats! I know that some complain about aftertaste from sugar substitutes but I did not notice this at all.

Results: While the recipe still called for regular sugar, the addition of the Sweet 'N Low minimized the amount. 2/3 cups of granulated sugar is nothing compared to the large amounts with which I typically bake. The brownies were a fluffy cake-like brownie. The reviews among my family were a bit mixed, some wishing they were richer. I, however, thought they were quite good and you were not able to tell that there was a sugar substitute used. 1/2 cup (1 stick) light margarine

I also used Sweet 'N Low on grapefruit and found that it did a very nice job of sweetening the sour fruit. I liked the consistency which was less grainy than regular sugar. I am fine with substituting Sweet 'N Low for sugar after using it for a week and am looking forward to trying new recipes.
