CocoaVia Review, Sweepstakes Announcement, and Giveaway!

What if I told you that you could take a chocolate supplement to support healthy circulation in your body? Did that peak your interest?! CocoaVia is a daily cocoa extract supplement with 250 mg of cocoa flavanols in every serving. Cocoa flavanols are scientifically proven to help support healthy circulation by helping blood vessels stay flexible and expand as needed, even as you age.  Heart, brain, and eye health - even exercise performance - depend on a healthy circulatory system, which supports your total health. With daily intake, CocoaVia helps oxygen and nutrients reach your organs and tissues.

CocoaVia is available in the following flavors: Sweetened Dark Chocolate, Summer Citrus, Cran-raspberry, and Unsweetened Dark Chocolate. They come in ready-to-go stick packs that can be added to your foods and beverages. Dark-chocolate flavored CocoaVia can be added to milk, hot or chilled coffee drinks, yogurt, smoothies, and oatmeal. Fruit-flavored CocoaVia can be enjoyed with water, in smoothies, unsweetened iced tea, and yogurt. Each packet is only 30 calories, 0.5 grams of fat, and has 0g sugar.

Review: I was given a sample of each of the flavors to sample. I tried the chocolate packets in coffee and in the smoothie recipe listed below.  I liked the flavor in my coffee. I typically use flavored creamer so I used regular milk and added the packet and found it to be as enjoyable as my typical creamer. The smoothie didn't work out as well as I would have liked but it was just logistical issues. My kids ate all my bananas, I could not find almond butter at my local store, and I have the world's worst blender. I was able to tell, however, that the flavor would have been quite good had all the ingredients been in place and my blender actually crush the ice.

I used the fruit flavored packets in water. First, I used one packet for a 24oz water bottle but I found the taste to be a bit too strong. For the second packet, I dissolved 1 packet in twice the amount of water (which got me drinking more water = bonus) and the flavor tasted much more appealing.
