One of the main reasons I hear from people as to why they don't recycle is that they do not have the room to have a recycling can in their already cramped space. If they have set up a recycling station outside or in a garage, then they often find themselves cluttering their countertops until they can get to their station. Rubbermaid recognizes the importance of recycling while still valuing the aesthetic appeal of your decor. They have created the Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler.
Feature of the Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler include:
- Easy attachment to a cabinet door with hooks included with the product or screws
- A convenient handle allows the bad to easily be transported to wherever your are recycling
- A 5 gallon bad that holds up to 36 12-oz cans and can fit a milk jug
- The bag has a leak-proof liner and is machine washable
- The bag is soft-sided allowing for flexibility inside a cabinet
- The bad and all packaging is made from recyclable material
Review: I was really excited when I was given the opportunity to review the Hidden Recycler but I did not take into account the fact that I have only one lower cabinet in the kitchen and it is so full with cleaning supplies that I could not possibly fit the bag. However, I have found some creative uses for the bag. Since it is so portable and sturdy, I carry it from room to room when I am cleaning up. Papers, cans, and other recyclables go right into the bag saving me from having to make multiple trips to the kitchen. When I coupon, I have it handy to throw paper scraps into it, saving me tons of clean up time. Some day I will have an updated kitchen with more cupboard space, but until them I will continue to use my convenient Recycler in other ways. When I am not using it for the uses stated above, I keep it close in my computer room where I tended to throw away papers for convenience sake. It is so cute that I have not problem keeping it out in the open!
