Although I love Butch and Princess Buttercup, they are M-E-S-S-Y! Due to the shapes of their mouths, half of the water they drink ends up on the floor! Plus, Buttercup sometimes decides to wash her feet in the water bowl (I wish I could get into her head sometimes), spilling water everywhere. We have been using a tray under the dog dishes, but it looks really unattractive!

Review: I received an adorable personalized mat to review. The neutral colors match the room where the dog bowls are placed and my kids were so happy to see the dog's names placed on the mat. I am very happy with the backing. It has not moved out of place once since I put it on the floor. It does a pretty good job of absorbing water that flows out of the mouths. Buttercup has not decided to wash her paws since I put the new mat down so I am not sure how well the mat could absorb larger amounts of water but it works great when she is acting, well, normal. Plus, it looks much better in my computer room as opposed to that gross tray!
