Now that my children are getting older, going out to eat is getting very expensive. While my daughter still eats off of the kid's menu, my son has an adult appetite and likes to order steak when we go out to eat! Add that to my husband's cravings for prime rib and the family's insistence on ordering an appetizer and then a dessert and we are easily paying between $75-$100 just to go out to eat! This is why we often elect to go to buffets!
Buffets, Inc., owners of Ryan's, HomeTown Buffet, Old Country Buffet, Country Buffet, Fire Mountain, and Granny's, are family-friendly buffet-style restaurants that offer guests a variety of choices to satisfy the entire family! Plus, every Thursday from 5-8pm is Family Night when kids 11 and younger eat for only 99 cents while enjoying special treats like balloons and kid-friendly menu options.
Aside from the food being amazing, the atmosphere of Old Country Buffet is great. There is a very large dining room and you can seat yourself. The employees there are so nice and we had a great server who quickly cleared our table of dirty plates as soon we we would go for more food. Family Night was extra special and the kids were able to enjoy extras like fresh spun cotton candy and balloons! We typically only go out to eat on the weekends but going to Family Night on a Thursday was a nice way to break up the week a bit. Plus, you can't beat the 99 cents deal for kids meals deal!
Old Country Buffet has great food, a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and saves us a ton of money while still satisfying every one in the family's cravings. What more could I ask for! You can find the Buffets, Inc. restaurant closest to you by visiting the company's website. There are over 340 restaurants nation-wide!
