Now that my children are getting older, going out to eat is getting very expensive. While my daughter still eats off of the kid's menu, my son has an adult appetite and likes to order steak when we go out to eat! Add that to my husband's cravings for prime rib and the family's insistence on ordering an appetizer and then a dessert and we are easily paying between $75-$100 just to go out to eat! This is why we often elect to go to buffets!

Review: We have an Old Country Buffet in town and we love to go there to eat. We had never been there for Family Night so I was excited to give it a try. They have a really great assortment of foods and the options truly pleased the whole family. They have a salad bar, taco bar, country cooking favorites, and a chef who can prepare steak and Mongolian stir fry to order. They also offer a beverage bar with Icee's for the kids, cappuccinos for adults, milk, and sodas of all kinds. Plus, they have a delicious dessert bar where you can choose from a wide variety of pre-sliced cakes, cookies, and pies or help yourself to the ice cream machine where you can then choose your favorite toppings.
Everyone in the family was thrilled with foods. My daughter filled up on macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes while my son and husband indulged on steak and chicken. I tried a variety of foods including a taco bowl, breaded shrimp, rice, and more. My son't reaction to the steak was absolutely priceless. After ordering a medium piece, he came back to the table and excitedly pointed out how perfect the grill marks were and how it was the best steak he ever ate pointing out that the employee who made the steak "should really try to go on Top Chef because this is so good!". 
Aside from the food being amazing, the atmosphere of Old Country Buffet is great. There is a very large dining room and you can seat yourself. The employees there are so nice and we had a great server who quickly cleared our table of dirty plates as soon we we would go for more food. Family Night was extra special and the kids were able to enjoy extras like fresh spun cotton candy and balloons! We typically only go out to eat on the weekends but going to Family Night on a Thursday was a nice way to break up the week a bit. Plus, you can't beat the 99 cents deal for kids meals deal!
Old Country Buffet has great food, a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and saves us a ton of money while still satisfying every one in the family's cravings. What more could I ask for!
